Engineering Internship
Contribute to innovating the water industry. It’s possible at Acquaint. We have an internship available where you will be involved in a project from start to finish. It involves designing, creating a prototype and then testing a free-floating inspection device for water pipes. On this device we would like to have a Go-Pro camera. In addition, the device must be able to handle a high water pressure of 40 bar. It is up to you to investigate how this can be done! This internship assignment offers a unique opportunity to work on advanced technology in the field of water infrastructure inspection. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in designing, prototyping and testing a device that solves critical challenges in water pipeline maintenance and monitoring.
Through your internship at Acquaint, you will join a team of 40 employees. At Acquaint, most employees recognize themselves in the quote “work hard play hard”. Table tennis, lunch barbecues and spontaneous get-togethers do not sound strange to us. We also work together with institutions such as Wetsus, where we work on the latest inspection techniques to make water pipes safer.
What we expect of you during your internship:
- Research and requirements analysis
- Conceptual design
- Detailed design and prototyping with CAD software
- Pressure resistance testing
- GoPro integration
- Navigation and maneuverability
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a relevant engineering or design program.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software.
- Basic knowledge of robotics and sensor integration.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
After your internship, there is a possibility of extending your contract.
