DevOps Engineer
Posted onAt GitLabHost, everyone works on a contract for 32 hours per week, with the flexibility to work remotely and set your own schedule.
All our DevOps Engineers also contribute to our support desk, ensuring we assist our technical customers as efficiently as possible. We handle all inquiries via email using a shared mailbox.
What are we looking for?
- Higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working (a degree is not required!).
- Experience in managing Linux systems, specifically Debian (or derivatives).
- Experience with automated system management, especially SaltStack. Knowledge of Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is also fine.
- Familiarity with GitLab as a user; experience with advanced GitLab features or GitLab administration is a plus.
- Strong command of both English and Dutch is important, as all DevOps Engineers handle technical customer inquiries.
- Experience with Python (senior experience with other languages is also fine). Knowledge of Django or Flask is a plus.
- Using Debian on your work laptop is required for the DevOps team.
- GitLabHost is ISO 27001 certified: experience working in a certified environment is a plus.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure is a plus.
- Experience managing Windows Server or macOS for CI/CD purposes is a plus.
