The team working within Together Groningen is enthusiastic and works together to provide a safe place where parents, children, and volunteers can flourish. Led by a location coordinator, the team invests in the children. Additionally, there is a parent coach who coaches the parent group. As a volunteer, you get the chance to use and further develop your talents, be part of a team, and see children grow.

Tasks and duties

• You have a passion for learning/development and will provide language support and/or school support to children from the neighborhoods of Beijum, Lewenborg, Selwerd, and Vinkhuizen.
• You ensure that there is safety and respect within the group of children assigned to you.
• You are part of an enthusiastic team.

Tasks:

• Providing language support and/or school support; this entails helping children expand their vocabulary and doing reading hours with them.
• You will be assigned to a small group (maximum 3 children) with whom you will play games and read books, among other things.

Skills and qualities

• You are social.
• You are independent.
• You are reliable.
• You can join children.
• You have an affinity for different cultures.
• You have a passion for learning.

What else we expect from you:

• You are available for at least one afternoon a week from 13:45 to 17:00.
• You are available for at least six months.
