Become a buddy & make a difference!

In early April, we are starting a new round of Buddy to Buddy in Groningen, and you can still join! Do you want to help someone feel at home in the city, simply by being yourself? Become a buddy!

Buddy to Buddy connects Groningen residents with newcomers who had to leave their country of origin. You are matched based on shared interests and embark on a four-month journey together. Our goal is to create new encounters and thereby contribute to a friendly and connected city of Groningen, where everyone feels welcome and at home.

Tasks and duties

What does that entail?

You will be matched with a buddy for 4 months based on shared interests. You will meet up approximately once a week and mainly do things you normally do anyway: walking together, having coffee, eating, exercising, or chatting. Additionally, we organize fun group activities (we recently went to see Donar). In this way, we contribute to the social integration of newcomers through reciprocity.

You can also participate together with a friend or partner.
