Rotating Equipment Engineer

What’s the role?

As Rotating Equipment Engineer, you are responsible for the condition of rotating equipment in both the short and long term; directly contributing to the performance of the production units (PUs).

Within NAM’s engineering team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; motivated and independent teams that support the onshore assets in ensuring integrity and production reliability.

You will work from the office in Assen with field visits as needed. You will provide technical solutions and offer support and guidance to engineering and execution teams, giving you the opportunity to develop both your technical and leadership skills.

Your tasks include:

• Applying technical standards such as Shell Design and Engineering Practices (DEPs), ASME codes & API
• Analyzing and resolving failures through root cause analysis and risk assessments
• Using monitoring techniques such as vibration measurements, oil analysis and thermography
• Preparing overhaul plans and assessing required spare parts
• Supporting maintenance and operations teams with technical training
• Identifying improvement opportunities and contributing to optimization projects
• Ensuring compliance with the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process

What We Need from You

• HBO or WO (Bachelor’s or Master’s) degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with rotating equipment in the oil or petrochemical industry
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (DEPs, ASME, API)
• Experience with troubleshooting, monitoring and maintenance strategies
• Familiarity with various equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, and fans. Knowledge of active magnetic bearing technology is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
