We are seeking a talented and motivated Communications Intern to join our team. You reporting to the Community Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and managing the company's global community outreach efforts on platforms like Discord and other social community channels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while honing your skills and contributing to real-world projects.We are looking for someone who is based in Groningen area and is available for a full-time (40 hours) internship for at least 5 months starting 1st September.We're flexible on the start date beyond those specified, and can accommodate your availability.

Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: Actively participate in community discussions on platforms like Discord, Reddit, and other forums, addressing user questions, sharing company updates, and promoting positive engagement among community members. Draft and edit tailored content for various community platforms, including Discord announcements, forum posts, and discussion threads that resonate with international audiences.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research on local markets, competitors, and industry trends to support marketing and sales strategies.
• Community Support: Monitor community channels and provide prompt, relevant responses to user inquiries, concerns, or feedback, escalating issues when necessary to the Community Manager or other appropriate team members.
• Community Growth: Develop and implement strategies to grow and maintain the company's presence on international community platforms, identifying and engaging with key opinion leaders, influencers, and potential brand advocates..
• Reporting and Analytics: Track and analyze community engagement metrics, reporting key insights to the Community Manager and other stakeholders to inform future strategies and initiatives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, such as marketing, product, and customer support, to ensure cohesive messaging and a seamless experience for community members across all channels.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Display a strong understanding of cultural nuances and communication styles, adapting content and engagement tactics to ensure a positive experience for community members from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing an HBO or WO degree in communications, marketing, public relations, international relations, or a related field.
• Must remain enrolled as a student throughout the entire duration of the internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• You are available for a minimum of 5 months, 5 days per week ( 40 hrs).
• Based in Groningen as is able to commute to the office.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
