Job Description
Within the OTD Central department, we are looking for an Operational Buyer who will be responsible for the purchasing activities of the technical service. You will be in close contact with internal and external customers and are responsible for the purchasing activities of a high-quality technological production organization. The production organization utilizes complex high-tech production processes and is characterized as dynamic and innovative, being the most advanced in the world within the industry. Production takes place in shifts.
Your role:
An Operational Buyer plays a central role in the purchasing process and is essential for a smooth procurement process within the company. Key tasks include:
• Processing orders: Ensuring purchase orders are created accurately and on time.
• Managing inventory: Ensuring sufficient materials are available without overstocking.
• Cost-saving: Identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
• Managing contracts: Ensuring purchasing contracts are adhered to and renewed as necessary.
• Ensuring quality: Checking that purchased goods or services meet quality standards.
• Collaborating: Working with other departments to understand and fulfil their purchasing needs.
• Problem-solving: Addressing any issues with orders or suppliers.
You're the right fit if:
• You have completed a vocational (MBO) education preferably in Business Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Data Analysis and Statistics, Business Analytics or equivalent.
• Additionally, you have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• You enjoy working independently and as part of a team in a technical environment.
• You can maintain and create an overview in complex situations.
• You possess good analytical skills and a strong sense of standards.
• You are decisive, assertive, communicative, and have influencing skills.
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
