Postdoc on Green electrical steel coatings
Posted onA 3-year postdoc position is available in the field of physical vapor deposition and chemical vapor deposition at the Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen, within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Groningen.
This project aims to develop eco-friendly electrical steel coatings that utilize sustainable materials and processes for enhanced properties and recyclability.
We are looking for a curious, focused, and collaborative researcher who thrives on challenges. You will be a strong candidate if you have:
- A PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering or a closely related discipline. A strong background in physical vapor deposition and chemical vapor deposition will be a clear advantage.
- An excellent academic record and strong expertise in materials characterization and coating technology.
- An independent and creative mindset combined with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent English communication skills both written and oral.
As a postdoctoral researcher you will perform:
- Design and PVD process of eco-friendly electrical steel coatings.
- Integrating CVD process and heat treatment of eco-friendly electrical steel coatings.
- Study the heat treatability of oxide coated electrical steel.
- Investigate the electromagnetic performance of oxide coated electrical steel lamination.
- Explore its recyclability of eco-friendly electrical steel coatings.
