Project Assistant for Tuning International Cooperation Projects
Posted onThe International Tuning Academy (ITA) is a unit within the International Strategy and Relations/University Services of the University of Groningen. ITA designs and implements international cooperation activities in which different higher education actors (higher education institutions, national quality assurance and accreditation agencies, ministries, university networks, etc.) from across the world work together to foster better quality higher education. We focus on different aspects of higher education - internationalisation, recognition, relevance, student-centredness, more inclusive transition to higher education, professionalisation of higher education teaching, etc.
ITA is currently looking for a Project Assistant to:
1. Ensure successful implementation of the running Erasmus+ international cooperation projects, as well as, eventually,
2. Assist in preparing new strong competitive applications.
Your profile:
- Well-organised, attentive to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Can work in English and Spanish, communicating fluently both in writing and speaking.
- Able to use or quickly learn to use the tools/systems used (the two main ones: GoogleDrive and WordPress).
- Ready and capable of adjusting your communication style in order to establish good working relationships (remotely) and maintain fluent communication with diverse stakeholders in different countries.
- Proactive and results-driven approach to work.
- Can be flexible with regards to the weekly workload, if this is required in project implementation cycle, announced in advance and agreed on by you and your linemanager (provided the monthly workload is respected).
- Have a work permit for The Netherlands.
Plus points (please mention if applicable in your case):
- Any previous experience of project management.
- Interest in higher education.
To thrive in this role you need to be well organised and able to work both with people (mostly remotely) and on your own.Β
Key responsibilities:
- Support project coordinator in day-to-day project management.
- Keep an overview of different project processes and due dates, reminding partners and project coordinator about upcoming deadlines.
- Ensure all the necessary documents are received and stored as required in the project Virtual Shared Spaces (GoogleDrive).
- Monitor and update project websites to guarantee that they fully reflect the progress of the projects (WordPress).
- Maintain fluent communication with international partners.
- Assist project coordinator in the preparation for project reports (ongoing reporting, intermediate and final reports).
- Keep track of continuous reporting status on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
- Collect and organise information necessary to prepare intermediate and final project reports.
- As you learn more about the projects, write up assigned sections of project reports.
- During the proposal preparation stage, assist with collecting and compiling the necessary documents and information, revising consistency of the proposal, help revise if all the formal requirements have been met.
- Help with organising project meetings (logistical and informational support to partners and coordinator).
This role does not require physical presence at the premises of the University of Groningen, allowing you to work remotely. This will depend on what you agree on with the coordinator of the project, with whom you will work in close contact and to whom you are accountable. If you are interested in the content side of the projects, there might be a possibility to further develop in this direction, including joining project face-to-face meetings.
