With over 30 years of experience, and a background in chemistry Corina Prent is the example of how to innovate within large organisations. A lot of times people believe that entrepreneurship is strictly associated with start-ups and scale-ups. However, intrapreneurs are acting like an entrepreneur within an established company. It’s creating a new business or venture within an organisation. Sometimes that business becomes a new section, or department, or even a subsidiary/spinoff. There are many ways to create impact with new innovations. During Corina’s workshops she will talk about how to match your solution to a true understanding of the problem you are trying to solve. 

With nearly ten years of experience in helping scientists create more impact with their research, Aniek Ouendag is excited to lead a workshop on value propositions at the upcoming Impact Innovator in a Day event. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Ph.D. candidates and post-doc researchers who are looking to create more impact from their research, Aniek will share her insights on how to craft compelling value propositions that resonate with their audience. Participants will benefit from Aniek’s extensive experience in working with researchers, startups and early-stage ventures, gaining practical strategies and actionable tips that they can use to take their research projects to the next level.

Deepak is the Director of Ducom Instruments, Co-founder of QT Sense & Investment Manager for RuG Ventures. He is a trained Mechanical Engineer (Masters), Scientist (Ph.D.) & Innovation Specialist (Exec. Program).  For over 10 years he has practiced the art of marketing, sales & business development in the high-tech industry. He has successfully managed customer expectations from around the world. Being passionate & experienced in Innovation, he will elaborate the road map for ideators who want to create more impact from their research. During his workshop, Deepak will elaborate on how business works, and what you need to convince others of the value of your research.

The day will start with a coffee or tea and a short introduction about the event, VentureLab North and RUG Ventures after which we will dive into the first workshop about the problem solution fit by the Managing Director of RUG Ventures and VentureLab North. After the first workshop, you will have a short coffee break, before we continue to the next workshop. During this workshop by Aniek Ouendag you will learn about creating a strong value proposition that is clear to your audience. 

At 12.45 you will be served a delicious lunch and get a chance to network with everyone in the event.  After lunch you will after which you will receive your final workshop on the business model canvas. Finally, you will get a masterclass about innovating in the industry, hearing a story on how you can use knowledge from your workshops in different career paths. The day will end with network drinks.
