PhD Day 2026

Under the theme “From Surviving to Thriving: PhD Careers in a Changing Research Landscape”, PhD Day 2026 offers an inspiring program with keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive workshops*. The event is aimed at PhD candidates and young researchers, supporting them in their professional development both within and outside of academia. Participants will explore diverse career paths, strengthen their skills, and build a valuable network in the region. Snacks, lunch, and a closing reception are included.

With hundreds of PhDs and other ambitious young reserachers in attendance, this is a very high-potential event for local companies to engage with and potentially hire highly skilled talent. Companies can benefit from various opportunities, such as hosting a booth at the career fair, offering a workshop and gaining visibility through promotional materials and social media channels.

Thanks to support from Gemeente Groningen covering halft the sponsorship costs, participation starts already from €250 for a stand at the career fair.
