While this event is Dutch, Make it in the North offers several activities in English that you can join! At the Promotion Days, you’ll be able to recognize the companies that hire internationals by the “Make it in the North” flag on their table, so you can navigate the event by yourself. But maybe you prefer a guided walk to start your networking journey? Then sign up for one of 4 Make it in the North timeslots! We’ll guide a group of jobseekers across the Promotion Days fair floor to help you find the companies that hire internationals, we’ll introduce you to some companies, and as we go, you can ask us any questions you may have.
To keep the group size manageable, there’s limited space, so sign up ASAP!
CV Critique timeslots
Make it in the North works together with Boost - CV & Cover Letter Writers to offer you free 1-on-1 CV critique sessions. A limited number of 25-minute slots will be available during the Promotion Days event between the 7th and 8th of November 2023.
How to Network to Find a Job in the Northern Netherlands
When you don't know many companies in the Northern Netherlands, finding one for your first or next job seems an impossible task! Make it in the North.nl is here to help you out. We'll discuss first and foremost why networking is so important in the Netherlands, and how to do it so you can immediately put your skills to action during the Promotiedagen. We’ll also tell you how to find companies that hire English speakers, and how to find or make a job with those companies. Further topics included: presenting yourself on the Dutch jobmarket, and quick tips and tricks for CV and cover letters, also for open applications!
