StartFest Groningen

StartFest is the festival where everything revolves around your development and discovering your talents. Everyone is welcome. Young or old… whatever your education, work experience or background. At StartFest, they do not look at a CV, but at what someone can do.

Educators, companies, entrepreneurs and industry associations are happy to show what they have to offer at StartFest. The goal is to inspire you to discover your qualities and talents and what you can do with them. This could be going (back) to work, a (new) job, starting an education, or volunteering.

There will be all kinds of things to do and various workshops to attend - however, many workshops are in Dutch. We always recommend jobseekers to network, and the event is completely free, so stop by and make some new connections! At the beginning you will find the guides from StartPunt, who are happy to help you on your way.

Do you need advice on your next step, but don’t know where to start? Visit this "starting point" at StartFest! There are guides to help you take your next step on the Northern Dutch job market. Whether you’re considering a career switch, thinking about starting a new course of study, or simply want to explore the possibilities, StartPunt is here to support you. For this edition, there are specific Make it in the North guides at the ready to assist you. Come by and get inspired! StartPunt is organised by Werkcentrum, a very useful career service founded by multiple organisations.

While not all companies at the event have jobs in English right now, it's a great idea to chat with them so you can expand your professional network. Make sure to prepare, so you can make a great impression on the company representatives. Meet people, add them to your LinkedIn, and you increase your opportunities to find a job in the North.
