Startfest Winsum

Startfest is the festival where everything revolves around your development and discovering your talents. Everyone is welcome. Young or old… whatever your education, work experience or background. At Startfest, they do not look at a CV, but at what someone can do.

Educators, companies, entrepreneurs and industry associations are happy to show what they have to offer at StartFest. Through activities, we inspire you to discover your qualities and talents and what you can do with them. This could be going to work (more/again), a (different) job, starting an education, volunteering or starting an orientation. Every movement is valuable. Guides are ready to help you on your way and discover your talents and possibilities.

There will be all kinds of things to do and various workshops to attend - however, for the most part these workshops and activities are in Dutch. We always recommend jobseekers to network, and the event is completely free, so stop by and make some new connections! At the beginning you will find the guides from Startpunt, who are happy to help you on your way. Please note that for this edition, Make it in the North will not be present themselves.

There’s plenty to do! During the festival you can, for example:

What should you wear to a job interview and how do you create a strong CV? Experience it in the Development Tent! Dress for Success is ready to help you with a great outfit. Ask the hairdresser to style your hair and then have a professional photo taken that you can immediately use for your CV or LinkedIn profile. Our job coaches are also ready to support you.

In the central square of the festival grounds you’ll find the “Eat & Great”, where coffee, tea and water are free throughout the day. You can buy delicious food at various food trucks, and there are plenty of spots to sit down, have a good conversation, and enjoy everything StartFest has to offer.

Coming by train? From Winsum station it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Geert Reinders Sports Park at Schilligeham 1A in Winsum.

Prefer the bus? Qbuzz bus lines 65, 68, 163, and 165 stop at Priorstraat in Winsum, from where it’s just a 5-minute walk.

Arriving by car? Parking is available near the festival grounds or in Winsum’s town center. For bicycles, there is plenty of parking at the Geert Reinders Sports Park. Follow the signs along the way and the instructions of the traffic attendants.
