Description
Do you combine a technical background with a commercial mindset? We offer a key position in our company where you take the lead in assessing a specific client’s needs, and working together with the sales manager and process department, make sure we meet the timelines to present our solution to the client in a comprehensive, clear, technical commercial proposal, which serves as the basis for a future contract. Our small hands-on team is currently seeking this all-round colleague to support our growing business.

Your job
You will provide technical and commercial support to customers, agents, and sales managers, primarily within the anaerobic wastewater treatment sector. Your commercial skills and technical expertise will contribute directly to our success and play a key role in our team, supporting our clients to find the best solution for their case. You will be operating mainly from our office in Leeuwarden, but may also be asked to travel on occasion to visit clients together with the dedicated sales manager, or to attend exhibitions. The offered position is based on a full-time contract.

Role and Duties:
As an all-round technical sales engineer, you'll be in direct contact with our clients. You'll analyse their needs, actively contribute to specific solutions design in collaboration with the (process)engineering department. Your role is advisory, technical, and commercial. You'll liaise with clients’ and suppliers’ technical teams, prepare cost estimates, budget & firm proposals, and build lasting relationships. You will report to the global sales director.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering with affinity towards water and/or wastewater treatment (Environmental, Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • Self-Starter, able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written are essential.
  • Professional knowledge of the English language (candidates with additional language skills, e.g. German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, are preferred).
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to stay calm in a busy sales office environment.
