Intern / Master thesis opportunity

Are you passionate about surface coatings, biomaterials, polymer science, or biomedical engineering and eager to gain hands-on experience at an innovative startup?

At Bioprex Medical, we are offering Master Thesis / Internship positions (3–6 months) for motivated students to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of next-generation functional coatings and polymer systems for biomedical applications.

Our research bridges materials science, chemistry, and engineering to design and optimize coatings that improve the performance and biocompatibility of medical devices and components by protecting them from bacterial infection.

Possible Research Topics:

• Development and optimization of functional multilayer coatings
• Investigation of polymer–surface interactions and adhesion mechanisms
• Surface modification and characterization using advanced analytical tools (e.g., contact angle, AFM, SEM, FTIR, spectroscopic and mechanical testing)

Your Tasks:

• Conduct literature research on advanced coatings and surface treatments
• Prepare and apply coating systems using established or novel deposition methods (e.g., dip, spin, or spray coating)
• Characterize physical, chemical, and functional properties of materials
• Analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to R&D reporting or publications

Your Profile:

• Enrolled in a Master’s or final-year Bachelor’s program in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical mindset, structured working style, and enthusiasm for experimental research
• Interest in medical coatings & materials and applied industrial R&D
