We specialize in advanced software solutions for water utilities, focusing on real-time leak detection. By leveraging AI and data analytics, we provide accurate insights that help utilities minimize water loss and optimize supply, ensuring sustainable water management.

What you’ll do (the boring stuff)

• Code Development: Write, test, and maintain high-quality code.
• Innovation & Problem-Solving: Design and implement simple solutions to complex technical challenges, suggest architectural improvements, and optimize existing systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members and stakeholders, share your knowledge and help others.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices; introduce them to the team.

What you’ll do to make impact

• Examples of everyday tasks:
  • Introduce a UI feature, requested by a client, to make their life better. Like add an ability to export leak coordinates to other systems. (Note: front end work is optional).
  • Introduce a new back end feature, like a new type of quality check on incoming real-time data.
• Examples of less frequent tasks:
  • Integrate a new third party system into our platform.
  • Update API and the data pipeline to support a new sensor type.
• Bigger tasks, once a few months:
  • Increase observability of the platform.
  • Improve localization algorithm speed to meet tighter deadlines.

What you will bring!

We’re looking for someone who has:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience with one or more modern programming languages, including Python (we’re using Python), C#, Kotlin, Rust etc.
• Experience with distributed systems and/or cloud computing
• Experience with CI/CD automation

Nice-to-haves:

• Team Lead or Tech Lead experience
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (we’re using Terraform)
• Experience with real-time analytics, data lakes, graph databases, digital twins, IoT 4.0
• Understanding of data science models and pipelines, ideally data science methods (e.g., anomaly detection, time series analysis)
• Understanding of computer science algorithms (at least on a level what a Dijkstra algorithm is) and/or optimization techniques (e.g. profiling, load testing).

Bonus points for:

• Communication: Explaining complex ideas to non-technical people. Working across disciplines (engineering, design, operations)
• Adaptability: Handling ambiguity, pivoting between research and delivery

Interview Process
