Event volunteer MXT Conference 2026

What do we offer you as a volunteer at MXT 2026?

MXT is the place where technology knows no boundaries and industries are reinvented. It is more than a conference: it is a meeting place for innovation and inspiration. This is where technology-driven and world-changing entrepreneurs come together for groundbreaking ideas and groundbreaking conversations.

MXT's programme offers a diverse mix of keynotes, workshops, panels, inspiration sessions, networking moments, coaching and investment opportunities, side events, dinners, drinks and parties. MXT will take place during Eurosonic Noorderslag on 14 and 15 January 2026 at the former Comic Museum in Groningen. The event targets tech founders, startups, scale-ups, investors, the innovative ecosystem, entrepreneurial students and anyone with a passion for technology.

This year, MXT is strengthening its collaboration with Eurosonic Noorderslag. Therefore, you can enjoy a strong musical programme in the evening and on Friday 16 January.

Tasks and responsibilities

We have a number of volunteer roles, where we give you a small outline here of what to expect.

Construction and dismantling

During the set-up and take-down of MXT 2026, you'll have the most diverse job of the entire conference. You'll be a set builder, mover, point person, handyman, interior caretaker and all kinds of things in one. Together with the team, you'll make sure MXT's hide-out looks tip-top in no time.

Location manager

Sometimes there are multiple programme components in multiple locations. You make sure at the venue where you are the venue manager that everything goes according to plan. Is that not the case? Then you solve it!

Barm attendant

As a bartender, you are probably the most popular person during all of MXT. People can come to you for a refreshing beer, fresh coffee or a delicious soda.

Entrance host (registration)

With you, visitors come by to have their ticket scanned and collect their band. Also, if they have any questions, you are the central point they can turn to. As the host, you are the welcoming face of the conference

Runner

There's a lot happening during MXT and undoubtedly things need to be arranged at the last minute or help is needed. You are that person! You are the jack-of-all-trades that we can deploy where needed. Think of moving materials, doing a last-minute errand, assisting in catering or at the entrance, and much more.

• Construction: 7 to 13 January* (excluding weekends)
• Conference: 14 and 15 January
• Warner showcase: 16 January
• ESNS programme (evenings): 15 January + 16 January
• Demolition: 17, 19 and 20 January*

Availability
We ask for a minimum availability of 2 shifts (a shift lasts 6-8 hours). If you are less available, I'm sure we can find a way to accommodate you. Just be sure to let us know!
