Public Guide Noorderzon

For the many performance venues (Noorderplantsoen and DownTown), Noorderzon is looking for people to ensure that our audience can visit our performances pleasantly and safely. This includes scanning tickets as the audience enters, escorting them to their seats and providing additional information, if necessary.
During the performance, you make sure that the performance is not interrupted by latecomers and afterwards you help the audience leave. Sometimes we also ask you to help with the conversion of the venue before or after the performance.
- You are sociable and can communicate clearly with our visitors.
- You are friendly and approachable to our visitors.
- You are reliable and keep appointments and schedules.
- You are a team player and can work well with other volunteers and crew.
The minimum age for working within audience supervision at Noorderzon is 16 years. For evening shifts, the minimum age is 18.
Noorderzon Festival of Performing Arts & Society is the combination of an international arts festival featuring exciting contemporary performing arts from all parts of the world... as well as a grand summer festival in a freely accessible park.
Everyone is welcome to visit the festival, or come to work. As a crew you can help in various ways to make the 34th edition of Noorderzon a success, for example as an public guide. Below you can read exactly what this position entails.
The 34th edition of Noorderzon will take place from 22 August - 1 September 2024!
Do you work at least 3 shifts? Then we will give you a free ticket to a performance at the festival. Do you work during meal times? Then you can join us for dinner. You will also receive a number of tokens for each day you work.
