What we’re looking for

An experienced Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of energy intelligence. In this role, you’ll take the lead in all the processes concerning our backend systems on which our programs, cloud solutions, devices, and applications run. You will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and optimizing our software to ensure top performance and efficiency. You’re motivated to take on challenges, improve our systems, and take ownership of both new component design and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and Enhance: Development and improvement of our backend systems.
• Handle Infrastructure: Ensure that current and future infrastructure works as expected.
• Analyze and Optimize: Identify and assess system needs and requirements to ensure optimal functionality.
• Design and Plan: Create functional designs for software specifications and manage the implementation process.
• Execute Programming: Carry out necessary coding and programming tasks.
• Test and Refine: Continuously test, troubleshoot, and enhance our systems to address any bottlenecks or bugs.
• Document and Share: Maintain thorough technical documentation and code records.

• Backend: ASP .NET CORE, C#, Python
• Frontend: React, Superset
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, influxDB, Postgres DB, MongoDB, Github Actions, Docker, Kafka, Helm
• Monitoring: Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, Promtail
• Tools: Github, Jira, Google
• Process: three-week sprints, conduct thorough code reviews, write tests, automate processes wherever possible, and deploy quickly and consistently.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Backend Developer, preferably in a lead role.
• You have experience developing backend applications or tools using C# and Python, and you’re eager to expand your expertise with other technologies.
• You excel at independently driving loosely defined projects that require an experimental and collaborative approach.
• You’re motivated to take on a lead developer role for Powerchainger, working closely with the CTO.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

• €4,000 to €6,000 per month, based on a 40-hour contract and experience.
