For our Groningen location, we are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Analytical Chemist

Do you want to contribute to the development of new medicines? We are recruiting for an Analytical Chemist in
Groningen. In this role, you will closely work with synthetic chemists to analyze and purify molecules. Through
comprehensive training and hands-on experience with diverse techniques, you will grow into a confident, skilled,
and adaptable analytical chemist.

The analytical group at our Groningen site consists of eight experienced, versatile, and dedicated analysts who
play a central role in all ongoing projects. Each day brings new challenges – whether working with a molecule that
has never been synthesized before or developing a method or technique to solve a specific problem. With our
extensive set of equipment, we tackle these challenges collaboratively, sharing knowledge and expertise. In this
role, you will:

● Manage routine analyses and the purification of molecules, using preparative HPLC
● Work on method development using GC-MS and LC-MS (under supervision)
● Handle a mix of planned and ad-hoc assignments simultaneously

Qualifications

For this position, we are looking for an enthusiastic person who meets the following criteria:
● BSc or MSc degree in analytical chemistry or chemistry
● Hands-on experience with HPLC chromatography; preparative HPLC is a benefit
● Self-organized, proactive, and result-oriented team player
● Strong levels of creativity, flexibility, confidence and reliability
● Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
● Customer and service oriented
● Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence both internally and externally.
● Eligible to work in the Netherlands
