Vermilion Energy Netherlands B.V. (Vermilion) is a Dutch company that started operations in 2004. We are active in small fields gas production. The natural gas we extract is provided to Dutch residential and business customers. Vermilion has grown into a reliable employer in the Netherlands since inception, with in total, more than one hundred people currently working for us. This includes employees and contractors.

The E&I Technician performs high-skill work in the inspection, calibration, repair, testing, adjustment, installation, and removal of all electronic and electrical plant equipment and systems. You will document maintenance activities and ensure the reliability of plant instrumentation and electrical systems.

What you will do:

  • Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems in SAP EAM.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, including transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, and relays.
  • Maintain files, logs, and drawings for all designated instrumentation and electrical equipment.
  • Manage instrumentation and electrical spare parts inventory to support plant reliability.
  • Understand and work with Piping and Instrument Diagrams, Signal Flow Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Panel Drawings, Single Line Drawings, Loop Sheets, and Wire Lists.
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems, including electric motors, controls, and fire alarms.

 

What you will bring

  • 5 years of experience as an E/I Technician, preferably in a process plant within the oil and gas field.
  • Professional technical level MBO/MBO+.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, take directions from supervisors, and focus on details.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to manage and track multiple tasks simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of industry standards and HSE practices applicable to your role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide quick and accurate solutions, even under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills with internal personnel and external vendors.
  • Hands-on approach and strong work ethic.
  • NEN 3140 training (prefer IV/WV)
  • NEN 3840 training (prefer IV/WV)
  • Swagelock training
  • ATEX (basic + inspection) training
  • VCA-vol
