Make it in the North Career Community: Kick-off event 📲🎊

We recently launched our WhatsApp Career Community and it has already grown to over 200 members! That’s something to celebrate! And what better way to do that than by meeting in person and connecting with others on a similar career journey? 🥂🧑🏽‍🤝‍🧑

ℹ️ About Make it in the North Career Community

The Career Community is a free, English-speaking WhatsApp group for internationals living in the Northern Netherlands who want support with their job search and career development in the region. It’s a space to ask questions, share experiences and connect with peers facing similar challenges, while staying informed about relevant career events and opportunities in the North. The community is member-driven and supported by the Make it in the North team.

You can register for the kick-off event whether or not you have already joined the WhatsApp community. Everyone is welcome!

At the event, you can expect a welcoming and interactive afternoon with a mix of practical insights and meaningful conversations. You’ll hear a real-life story from an international who found work in the Northern Netherlands, take part in guided small-group discussions and get answers to common job-hunt questions. There will be structured networking to help you connect with peers in a relaxed way and an introduction to how the Career Community works and how you can stay involved after the event.

The event will take place at Gemeente Groningen building at Kreupelstraat 1 in Groningen. We will e-mail you exact instruction about entering the building after you register.

Event is completely free. Spots are however limited, so the registration is required.
