Make it in the North is a non-profit project to help English-speaking jobseekers connect with organisations in Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe.
We're supported and funded by business associations, government, and universities in Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. Our founders see how difficult it is for many Northern Dutch companies to find the people they need, and for English-speaking jobseekers to find a local job. These are two problems that should cancel each other out - but companies and internationals can use a bit of help to find each other. That's where we come in.
Get involved with Make it in the North
Whether you're a jobseeker or company, we're always happy to hear from you. And whether you have great ideas for the Make it in the North project, or would like to become part of our focus group, you've come to the right place!
We want to help as many people as possible! That's why we gather all companies and jobs that hire English-speaking jobseekers in one place, and organize career events where you can meet each other.
So just to be clear: we're not a recruitment agency. We do not hunt for candidates. We do not match you 1-on-1 with companies based on your resume. That would mean we can only help a couple of people at a time. Instead, we're working on improving our career platform so you can figure out your matches right here.
In the meantime, there's always room for more ideas, and we're very happy to talk with you - jobseeker and company! - about how we can help you best. So if you have ideas, definitely fill out the form to let us know! Or volunteer to be part of one of our focus groups!
