Inspection engineer

Do you want to work for one of the most promising start-ups in the north of the Netherlands? Do you want to work for leading clients from the water sector and collaborate with third parties like Wetsus? Then start working as an Inspection Engineer at Acquaint in Leeuwarden.
Every day, 45 billion liters of drinking water are lost.
Will you help tackle this problem by contributing to our mission?
Do you love technology, enjoy working outdoors, and like the idea of occasionally traveling domestically and abroad?
At Acquaint, as an Inspection Engineer, you map water pipelines using our patented technology. During inspections, you will interact frequently with clients: you quickly learn how our tool works, clearly explain what is happening, and support the project leader in executing the project.
Our projects usually last a week or less. This means that weekends are almost always free, while during the week you stay in hotels. The following week, you return to the office to clean up materials and prepare for the next project. You also help keep the workshop organized. Because you often work some extra hours during inspections, you can enjoy a long weekend the week after.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Preparing projects in coordination with the project leader, setting up necessary equipment, and configuring devices.
- Collecting accurate data and communicating with the data analysis team.
- Executing projects by launching and tracking our inspection tool, and leading your team.
- Contributing to a safe working environment.
- Being away from home on average every other week.
Join our innovative and close-knit team. With 40 employees, we value a pleasant working atmosphere. Hard work and decisiveness are important, but so is fun. Table tennis, lunch barbecues, and spontaneous drinks are not unusual for us. We also collaborate with organizations like Wetsus, working on the latest inspection techniques to make water pipelines safer.
What we expect from you:
To maximize our impact, we are looking for a team member with the following qualifications and traits:
- You have a valid driverās license (B).
- You enjoy working on-site with a young team.
- You are motivated to execute projects as well as possible and like to take initiative.
- Affinity with technology is a plus.
- VCA certification is a plus.
What we offer:
All of this comes with contemporary employment conditions tailored to your situation:
- Workweek of 32 to 40 hours (fixed hours).
- Personalized training budget.
- 27 vacation days per year, excluding national holidays (based on 40 hours).
- Holiday allowance (8%).
- Discount on additional health insurance with De Friesland.
- Pension scheme with 65% employer contribution.
- Travel and phone allowance.
- Laptop and headphones provided.
- Start with a 7-month contract.
Does this sound like music to your ears, and do you want to help accelerate our mission?
