The tasks of an E&I Engineer
- Serve as the responsible discipline engineer for all electrical, instrumentation, and automation (EI&A) aspects of projects, from initiation to customer handover.
- Design the EI&A systems based on P&ID, and select appropriate equipment with the project team.
- Prepare and manage quotation requests for EI&A system integrators and oversee vendor manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate closely with customers and suppliers to ensure project alignment with expectations and smooth execution.
- Conduct Acceptance Tests for electrical, instrumentation, and control software at supplier and customer sites.
- Provide operating instructions, perform system start-ups globally, and troubleshoot deviations, prioritizing safety and quality.
Qualifications & background of an E&I Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in E&I Engineering or related field, with work experience equivalence considered.
- Approx. 5 years of (international) experience in a similar role, preferably within Process/Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion/Wastewater Treatment, Oil & Gas, or Agriculture sectors.
- Proficient in control systems including PLC and SCADA, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens, along with a broad understanding of energy technology.
- Experienced with electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD, Eplan P8.
- Strong grasp of process engineering and instrumentation principles.
- Familiar with compliance and safety standards including ATEX, IEC-Ex and adept in ERP systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for international projects.
