Gardening in a school garden

You can help with growing and caring for plants. You can also help with general maintenance, weeding/pruning and harvesting.

If you like, you can also assist with classes.

If you have knowledge of gardening, that's a plus, but not a must! We will look together at what suits you and what you get energy from.

On the grounds of Care Farm De Mikkelhorst in Haren, the Groen & Groen Foundation manages a school garden. From March/April, three school classes will visit every week for vegetable gardening lessons and nature education. We are therefore looking for enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy working outside and love plants.
