Product Designer

Location: Joure (with remote work options)

Are you an experienced creative designer, with knowledge of the newest technologies? At Spanninga, we are looking for a resourceful Product Designer (m/f/d) who will design lights for our own product collections, as well as co-created solutions in collaboration with our clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities: Within the R&D team, you will:

• Convert concepts into well-designed lights, witnessing your designs come to life and contributing to the safety of cyclists worldwide.
• Collaborate with Spanninga’s product manager, suppliers, and production specialists to design new lights for Spanninga’s collection and fulfill specific client requests.
• Manage the entire product development process from the first sketch to proof of concept and final product.
• Improve and develop existing products and systems.
• Share ideas with electrical and optical engineers to achieve the most optimal design.
• Design for Assembly in cooperation with teams in China and France.

Qualifications:

• Technical Master/Bachelor degree in (Industrial) Product Design.
• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Working proficiency in English (at least B2 level).
• Strong technical and creative abilities.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Preferably based at Spanninga HQ in Joure, with remote work options.
